Production meets principles

We believe that great films should not only be judged by what you see on screen, but also by how they are made.

As a film agency and production company, we support projects from the initial idea through to release. We combine creative quality and fair collaboration with a production approach that considers environmental impacts from the outset and includes carbon footprinting for every production.

What does “green” mean to us in practice?

For us, “green” begins long before the first day of filming. We consider mobility, technology, energy, catering and digital workflows from the production planning stage onwards. Our IHK-certified Green Film Consultant supports our productions – and we calculate the carbon footprint of every production.

Every production gets a carbon footprint assessment.

Our IHK-certified Green Film Consultant Felix Schuster is a permanent member of our team and supports the environmental planning and carbon footprint assessment of our productions. For larger productions, we prepare both an initial carbon footprint estimate and a final carbon footprint assessment; for smaller productions, we prepare at least a final assessment. We work with the Grüner Werkzeugkasten (“Green Toolkit”) and follow the Ecological Standards for German cinema, TV and online/VoD productions.

Film production:
Step by step

5 steps to your finished film

1. Contact

In the first phase, we mainly listen: We ask questions and get to know your company, product or service in detail. We recommend the type of film or campaign that makes sense for your communication goals. Once we have agreed on the scope of the project, we prepare a transparent cost estimate based on your requirements. We offer you a fair proposal that reflects the quality of our work.

2. Konzeption

Good intentions alone don’t make a good film – but good planning provides the foundation. Once the concept has been approved, we write the scripts and prepare the shoot: cast members are selected, crew members booked, locations scouted and props organised.

At this stage, we already consider how the subsequent production will be carried out. Our Green Film Consultant supports the planning process; for larger productions, we prepare an initial carbon footprint estimate at this stage.

3. Planung

Now the concept becomes a concrete shooting schedule. We assemble the right crew, determine the filming locations and plan the equipment, logistics and catering. We consistently use electric mobility as well as rail and public transport. We also plan longer production journeys and equipment transport using electric vehicles. Specialist equipment is rented when required, and catering is vegetarian or vegan.

4. Produktion

Creativity thrives under fair working conditions. After filming, we move into the editing suite. Here, we work with our editing specialists to turn the footage into the best possible film experience. Fair pay and respectful collaboration also form the basis for a successful final result.

Shortly afterwards, you receive the first rough cut of your film via our online platform. You can conveniently provide your feedback online, which we then incorporate. After the previously agreed number of revision rounds, we put the finishing touches on your film.

5. Vermarktung

Great films – at the right time, in the right place. Even a great film or a well-designed campaign will have little impact if only a handful of people see it. Based on the strategy developed at the beginning of the project, we therefore position your films to reach the right audience.

Together, we identify the marketing measures that suit your individual needs and target audience. If required, we can also help you establish an appropriate channel and ensure that it can be managed and moderated over a longer period of time.

Beyond the film set

Our green principles don’t end on set. As a film production company, we are a member of the German Sustainable Business Association, bank with GLS Bank and pursue a number of the goals set out in the UN 2030 Agenda through our work:

Logo Sustainable Development Goals
SDG 7: Affordable and clean energy
SDG 8: Decent work and economic growth
SDG 9: Industry, innovation and infrastructure
SDG 12: Repsponsible consumption and production
SDG 13: Climate Action
SDG 16 Peace, justice and strong institutions
